Should I consider using synthetic oil?
Synthetic engine oils are produced through a synthesis process that takes very small molecules and assembles them into larger ones. If you’re diligent about oil changes, you should be fine using conventional oil, so long as your owner’s manual indicates it’s OK. – Having your oil changed more often can alert a mechanic to a serious problem developing with your car’s engine. – You likely won’t notice your car performing better on synthetic oil.

How often should I change my oil?
The short answer is, if you plan on keeping your vehicle past the warranty, having an engine oil change and inspection done at least twice a year or every 5,000 to 7,500 km is cheap insurance.

Should I change my air filter?
A dirty air filter prevents the necessary volume of clean air from reaching the engine which affects the emission control systems of the car; reducing air flow and causing a too rich air-fuel mixture which can foul the spark plugs. Fouled spark plugs can create an engine miss, rough idle and even starting problems.
